BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University wrestling further solidified its No. 23 ranking in the USA Today/NWCA Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll as they prepare for their second nationally ranked ACC opponent, NC State, on Wednesday night in Raleigh – the opening event at the Wolfpack’s newly renovated Reynolds Coliseum.
The Mountaineers (3-0) also remained steadfast with their No. 21 ranking on InterMat after they downed their second Top 25, Power 5 program of the season in then-No. 25 North Carolina on Sunday, the most in program history since year-by-year results were first recorded in 1990-91.
