EUGENE, Ore. – App State freshman Lilly Nichols matched her program record of 4.24m (13' 11") to tie for 17th in the women's pole vault at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. on Thursday.
"I'm extremely proud of Lilly's performance at her first NCAA finals," said pole vault coach Daniel Isaacs. "She represented App State very well."
Nichols, who entered Thursday's competition ranked 19th, cleared the opening bar of 4.09m (13' 5") with ease before matching her personal best and program record of 4.24m (13' 11"). The Broomfield, Colo. native tied with Virginia Tech's Lyndsey Reed and Julia Fixsen for 17th overall.
