BOONE, N.C. -Appalachian State University women’s basketball wrapped up a very competitive and intense first day of practice in preparation for the 2016-17 season.
Appalachian worked on a little bit of everything from one-on-one and transition defense to hitting different positions during the primary break.
The Mountaineers even broke the team into Black and Gold squads for some competition, keeping score during drills going up against each other. App State certainly didn’t let up during the two-hour practice, pushing the pace and the high tempo that head coach Angel Elderkin and the coaching staff wants to instill in the team this season.
