BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State (23-9, 10-2 SBC) bounced back in game three of the weekend series against South Alabama (12-20, 2-10 SBC).
After a 14-5 loss in game two, the Mountaineers battled and took the series from the Jags with a 5-2 win in game three.
With the win, the Mountaineers have now won four out of four Sun Belt Conference series and maintain their second place position in conference standings.
Kenzie Longanecker picked up the win in the circle bringing her record to an astounding 14-1. With the win, Longanecker is now tied for second for most wins in a single season in program history as well as most in a career at 31.
