BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's soccer (4-6-3, 0-1-1 SBC) suffered a 3-0 decision to Hartwick (5-6-1, 1-1-0 SBC) on Saturday evening at Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
The Mountaineers' streak of scoreless defense stopped in the first five minutes of the match when Jamie O'Grady scored one of this three goals to push the visitors to a 1-0 lead. Appalachian held opponents to 309 minutes without a goal before the streak ended. App tried to get some offense going moments later with simultaneous shots from Juan Hernandez and Ian Bennett, but both shots were fended off by the Hartwick defense.
