CHARLESTON, S.C. — Appalachian State University wrestling continued its Southern Conference schedule at The Citadel on Wednesday night. The Mountaineers (9-2, 4-0 SoCon) rolled to a 31-13 victory over the Bulldogs (4-6, 1-2 SoCon) to remain unbeaten in SoCon play this season.
The match started with the 133-pound weight class. Irvin Enriquez, competing in his second dual match of the season, earned a 16-0 technical fall over Caleb Smith to open up a 5-0 advantage for the Mountaineers. The major decision was the first of Enriquez's career. Michael Longo matched Enriquez’s effort with a technical fall of his own.
