BOONE, N.C. - The App State women's track & field team is headed to Blacksburg, Va. for Virginia Tech's Doc Hale Meet. Field events will start at 4 p.m. and track events will start at 5 p.m. on Friday. Action will resume at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday with field events with track events slated for a 2 p.m. start.

App State tallied eight top-10 finishes at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. last week. In the women's pole vault, sophomore Ava Studney clinched first with a personal best clearance of 3.
