BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University women’s tennis (5-10) snapped a four-match skid on Wednesday with a 5-2 triumph over Gardner-Webb at Varsity Courts.
Despite dropping the doubles point with the Runnin’ Rebels taking two out of three matches, Appalachian captured five out of six singles contests en route to its fourth home win of the season.
“I thought we bounced back nicely and showed resiliency after falling in doubles play” said head coach Colin Crothers. “We picked up five tough wins in singles action to get the victory and I was proud of the team today to get the win on our home court.
