BOONE, N.C. — Reigning champion Appalachian State tied for the league lead by having five wrestlers make the Academic All-Southern Conference Team that was released Monday.
The Mountaineers, who claimed a third straight SoCon regular season title with an unbeaten conference record and won the SoCon tournament to cap a sweep of league titles, are represented on the Academic team by Forrest Przybysz (business administration), Matt Zovistoski (biology), Miller Clark (accounting), Carl Guess (marketing) and Christian Beach (marketing).
The Academic All-Conference Team includes student-athletes who achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.
