Mountaineers in 11th Place After Two Rounds

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — Appalachian State Universtiy women's golf played through a rainy first day at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Mountaineers carded a 311 in round one and are tied for ninth place of 15 teams with two rounds of play left.

Appalachian and the field were able to complete round one after a 75-minute suspension in play due to rain and lightning. Elon and Western Kentucky are tied in first place at 293, five-over par. Eastern Kentucky is in third with a 295.

App State was led by Emily Stinson in round one who shot two-over 74.
