SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The App State women's basketball team closed out competition at the Thanksgiving Basketball Clasico in Puerto Rico with a 68-57 victory over Binghamton on Friday. The Mountaineers went 2-0 in the tournament, also defeating Furman on Thanksgiving Day, and are now 4-1 (0-0 SBC) on the season.
"In June, this team got together for the first time and we talked about one of our goals this season, which was to come to Puerto Rico and to go 2-0, so, to achieve that goal is really a great feeling," said head coach Angel Elderkin.
