PANTHERSVILLE, GA. - Appalachian State (18-8, 6-1 SBC) fell to Georgia State (5-24, 3-4 SBC) in a seventh inning battle Friday night. The Mountaineers managed two hits and four walks but were unable to score any runs in the 1-0 loss.
Kenzie Longanecker suffered the loss in the circle. The loss ends her 11 game winning streak, giving her an 11-1 record. The streak is the longest winning streak by a pitcher in App State history.
Longanecker struck out five batters in the loss. That brings her season total to 70 strikeouts and career total to 279 for fifth all time in school history.
