Mountaineers Fall to ECU, 4-1

GREENVILLE, N.C.- The Appalachian State men’s tennis team fell to a one-loss Eastern Carolina team on Sunday at the ECU Indoor Tennis Facility, 4-1.

The Pirates claimed three singles matches and the doubles point to improve to 7-1 on the season.

In the No. 1 slot, Scott Webster was the lone Mountaineer to record a point for the Apps on Sunday afternoon as he defeated Freddie McGeehan 6-4, 6-3, for his third singles win of the season. Webster’s win tied the match at 1-apiece, but ECU went on to win the next three singles contests.
