BOONE, N.C. - A fast start in the first half for No. 25 Miami doomed Appalachian State, as the Mountaineers fell 45-10 Saturday afternoon at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
The Hurricanes scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and never looked back. Miami's offense totaled over 500 yards of offense while holding App State to just 241 yards.
Appalachian did have a chance to swing the momentum early in the second half. When Miami was threatening to score, John Law picked off a Brad Kaaya pass at the goalline for 60 yards.
