HARRISONBURG, Va. – App State Tennis dropped its Sun Belt Conference opener 5-2 to James Madison on Saturday.
The Mountaineers (6-5, 0-1 SBC) received wins from sophomore Savannah Dada-Mascoll at No. 1 singles and freshman Taya Powell at No. 2 singles to highlight their road performance.
After App State dropped the doubles point, Dada-Mascoll picked up her eighth straight singles win, defeating Daria Munteanu 6-3, 6-0 as the Yorkshire, England, native tied the match at 1-1.
