BOONE, N.C. - Making its first postseason appearance since 2013, Appalachian State University women's basketball has accepted a bid to play in the 10th annual 2019 Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI), where the Black and Gold will face UNC Asheville on the road at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
The winner will advance to the next round on either March 24 or 25 to face the winner of Davidson and Marshall, two foes that App both defeated earlier this season in non-conference play.
"We are grateful for the opportunity to extend our season and gain valuable experience for our program," head coach Angel Elderkin said.
