BOONE, N.C. — Patrick Moriarty represented Appalachian State University men’s golf in Sun Belt All-Conference selections by being named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team, the league announced Thursday afternoon.
“He is a great example of what can be done if you have a strong work ethic and set high standards,” head coach Bill Dicus said. “I truly believe his best golf is yet to come.”
The junior linksman is the first Appalachian State men’s golfer to be selected to an All-Sun Belt team after posting six top-10 finishes this season and leading the Mountaineers in scoring average with a program-record 72.
