Moore Makes Most Of A Challenging 2017 Season

BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State's Jalin Moore finished a challenging junior season with a familiar title and a newfound perspective.

The two-time Sun Belt Conference rushing champion secured his second straight 1,000-yard season by gaining 125 yards during a three-touchdown performance against Toledo in the Dollar General Bowl. With 1,037 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns in 2017, the numbers fell short of what the league's preseason player of the year anticipated, but he also didn't expect to miss the equivalent of three full games because of injuries.

"I feel like I needed something like this to happen in my life," Moore said.
