NEW ORLEANS – Appalachian State University men's cross country was named All-Academic status by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday.
A total of 205 institutions earned All-Academic recognition and the Mountaineers earned the honor by posting a 3.04 cumulative team GPA. To qualify, a team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
As a team, App State won one meet, took home second place in three of the meets and also had a third-place finish.
