JOHNSON CITY, TENN. - Appalachian State University men’s track and field finished day one of competition at the Buccaneer Track & Field Invitational on Friday night. and Andrew Vandenberg highlighted the day landing inside the top-ten in their respective events.
Milch snatched his fourth consecutive top-five finish in the weight throw firing out his best toss of the season, 58-1 (17.70m), to finish second overall and first amongst collegians. His eleven-inch seasonal-best sits as the third best throw in the Sun Belt. Vandenberg was the only Mountaineer to compete in the 5,000 meters and crossed the finish line in eighth with a time of 15:25.
