BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Senior Stanley Broaden set a Sun Belt record in the 60-meter hurdles on Monday as Appalachian State University men's track and field wrapped up day one of the Sun Belt Indoor Championships in fifth place out of eight teams with 24 points.
Broaden ran his 60-meter hurdle preliminary in 8.01 and now holds both the Southern Conference (7.90) and Sun Belt records in that event. As far as those that scored, the Mountaineers had five scoring marks amongst four events including two third-place finishes in the distance medley relay and pole vault.
