Men's Tennis Suffers Narrow Loss at Mercer

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men’s tennis nearly completed a comeback while trailing 3-1 but fell short in the valiant loss to Mercer, 4-3, on Saturday morning at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.

The Mountaineers nearly upended the Bears’ 13-match win streak and their first home loss this season. While trailing the hosts, 3-1, Milo Bargeron won his fourth-straight match over Fernando Guardia, 6-4, 6-2, in a matchup between No. 4’s. Scott Webster then tied up the match over Nicolas Guillon, 6-3, 6-3, with his team-leading eighth win of the season.
