Men's Tennis Rolls Past Gardner-Webb in Home Match

BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men’s tennis (12-7) put on an impressive performance in a convincing 5-2 triumph over Gardner-Webb (11-12) on Monday afternoon at Stadium Courts.

The Mountaineers snapped the Runnin’ Bulldogs’ three-match win streak coming into the contest, while the victory is the ninth in the past 11 matches. App swept the doubles portion of the contest before claiming the first four singles decisions over the visitors.

“We beat a very good Gardner-Webb team that came in on a winning streak,” said head coach Bob Lake. “Everyone contributed to this win today, and I couldn’t be more proud of the team.
