CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Appalachian State University men’s tennis (12-5) fell short of its seventh-straight win Friday afternoon with a 5-2 setback to Charlotte (11-5) at the Halton Wagner Tennis Complex.

Friday's contest was much closer than the score showed, as two singles matches that went Charlotte's way went to three sets, while the clinching doubles contest for the 49ers was decided by a tiebreak.
