RALEIGH, N.C. -- Appalachian State University men's soccer put forth a gritty effort in a 0-0 draw in a road exhibition on Sunday evening against NC State at Dail Soccer Stadium.
Jake Chasteen and Mitch Kilmer put together a combined shutout while Chasteen got the start. Kilmer played the final 29:45 of the contest and collected all three saves in the second half, including two big ones at the 88:12 and 89:37 mark that would have given the Wolf Pack a 1-0 lead.
NC State held the advantage in shots, 8-4, and shots on goal, 3-0.
