Men’s Hoops Suffers Setback in Loss at Troy

TROY, Ala. –– Trailing by just one at halftime, Appalachian State University men’s basketball couldn’t overcome a late 13-2 Troy run and would fall on the road for the second consecutive contest, 76-66 on Monday night.

The Mountaineers (8-18, 3-12 Sun Belt) got 15 points and seven rebounds from junior forward Griffin Kinney. For the game, Kinney finished 7-for-11 from the field. His seven rebounds shared the team lead on the night with Isaac Johnson.

In his first game back from injury, Kelvin Robinson finished with 12 points on five made field goals - connecting on two 3-pointers.
