BOONE, N.C. –– Appalachian State University men's basketball and head coach Jim Fox announced the addition of transfer guard Joseph Battle to the program on Monday.
Battle, a 6-foot, three-inch guard was a heralded player coming out of the state of South Carolina as a 2015-16 Gatorade Men's Basketball Player of the Year, as well as, Mr. Basketball for the state of South Carolina.
He appeared in 14 games for the Golden Hurricane last season, totaling 13 points and nine rebounds in 52 total minutes played. Battle made his debut off the bench against Wichita State on Nov.
