BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's golf finished the second round of the Donald Ross Intercollegiate on Monday. The Mountaineers carded a team score of 291 in round two for a day-one total of 576 to slide into fifth place out of 10 teams.
Appalachian started off its tournament with an impressive 285 in round one. The total was good enough for fourth place, but set the men up for a hot start to round two.
Chance Watson paved the way for the Mountaineers in the first round, firing a four-under 66 to be tied for first.
