BOONE, N.C. – App State men's golf head coach Alan Cress announced his retirement from App State on Monday.
"We are very thankful to Alan for his efforts in leading App State Men's Golf the last three years," Director of Athletics Doug Gillin said. "We wish Alan and his family all the best in his retirement. We will immediately begin our search for the next men's golf head coach."
After graduating from App State in 1991, Cress had successful runs on the teaching, business, administrative and event-planning sides of golf prior to returning to his alma mater in a coaching role.
