BOONE, N.C. – The Appalachian State men's basketball coaching staff will take part in the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative to help raise awareness about the disease.
While coaching games this week at Arkansas State on Thursday and at Little Rock on Saturday, the App State coaches will wear sneakers with their suits during both games to raise awareness and help save lives by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening and early detection.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program welcomes returning partner Shoe Carnival, who has teamed up with Princess Lacey's Legacy to support the fight against cancer with the promotion of an exclusive pair of gold laces.
