BOONE, N.C. –– High energy and intensity were evident as Appalachian State University men’s basketball got after it for its first official preseason practice in preparation for the 2016-17 season.
The Mountaineers practiced for a couple hours on Sunday afternoon inside the Holmes Center and worked on a multitude of things.
Entering his third season at the helm of the program, head coach Jim Fox had his team work on both offensive and defensive techniques while breaking up into two groups - frontcourt and backcourt - for positional shooting drills.
The Black and Gold ran full court sets and many half-court plays, including special teams plays in live game situations.
