BOONE, N.C. -- Appalachian State volleyball outside hitter Melissa McMath has been named Second Team All-Sun Belt, the league announced on Wednesday.
This is the first all-conference honor for the Lexington, N.C. native.
This season, McMath lead the Mountaineers with a career-high 342 kills (3.08 K/S), while also posting a career-best 47 total blocks (11 solo, 36 assists).
In Sun Belt action, McMath averaged a team-high 3.04 K/S (164 total). In a four set win over Georgia Southern on October 8, she recorded a career-high 28 kills on a .358 hitting percentage.
Overall, McMath tallied double digit kills in 18 total matches, including seven Sun Belt contests.
