NEW ORLEANS –– For the second time this season, Appalachian State University volleyball’s freshman outside hitter Emma Longley has been tabbed the Sun Belt Conference’s Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday.
“Even with us not finding a win this past weekend, Emma’s numbers were incredible,” said head coach Matt Ginipro. “She tried her best to put the team on her back, especially against Ball State where she set a new single match kill record. She’s showing us exactly the attacker we expected her to be while we were recruiting her and I’m excited to watch her continue to grow as a player.
