The second round of the 2024 Atlantic Casualty Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Championship saw Barton, Francis Marion and Lees-McRae all advance to the quarterfinals.
Fourth-seeded Francis Marion scored over 40 points in each half to collect an 82-66 victory over ninth-seeded Belmont Abbey. Four finished in double figures for Francis Marion with both Adonis Cole and Marlow Gilmore Jr. ending their efforts with 18 points. Mason Taylor and DJ Holloway both finished with 15 points to lead Belmont Abbey in its season-ending loss.
Fifth-seeded Barton led by only two at the halftime break, but the Bulldogs pulled away from 11th-seeded King in the second half to emerge with an 89-77 victory.
