BOONE, N.C. - App State women's basketball senior Lainey Gosnell was named to the CoSIDA Women's Basketball Academic All-District Division 3 First Team, as the organization announced on Thursday.
To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve who has participated in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions and is at least a sophomore both academically and athletically.
Gosnell has been just as successful off the court as she was on it. The Demorest, Ga., native is currently earning her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling after receiving her bachelor's degree in psychology in three years.
