NEW ORLEANS - App State sophomore Chaé Harris garnered her first career Sun Belt Player of Week honor, the league announced on Tuesday. Harris is the second Mountaineer to collect the honor for the 2023-24 season following junior Emily Carver, who was tabbed SBC Player of the Week on Dec. 12.
The Snellville, Ga. native was the Mountaineers' top scorer in their opening SBC game against Louisiana in Lafayette on Dec. 30. Harris netted 22 points, which matched her career-high set on Nov. 8, 2022 in her collegiate debut against Charlotte. In her 21 minutes on the court, Harris accounted for six of the Mountaineers' nine treys against the Ragin' Cajuns and pulled down six rebounds.
