BOONE, N.C. — The Sunbelt Rentals Collegiate Baseball Series in Charlotte begins its 2018 schedule Tuesday with Appalachian State (4-6) facing South Carolina (7-5) at BB&T Ballpark.
First pitch in the Charlotte Knights' downtown stadium is scheduled for 6: 05 p.m.
The probable starters on the mound are App State senior right-hander Travis Holden (2-0, 1.64 ERA in two starts) and South Carolina junior right-hander Logan Chapman (1-0, 3.12 ERA in two starts).
RETURNING TO CHARLOTTE
Designated to be the home team against South Carolina, the Mountaineers will be participating in a game at BB&T Ballpark for the third straight year.
