BOONE, N.C. — App State Football's regular season finale on Saturday against Arkansas State will be the final home game for a group of battle-tested and resilient seniors.
The outcome will determine if that group and the rest of the Mountaineers play again in the postseason.
With kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. on Senior Day in Kidd Brewer Stadium, both App State and Arkansas State need a victory to become bowl eligible. The Mountaineers earned bowl berths in eight of their first 10 seasons after becoming postseason-eligible in 2015, including an NCAA-record seven berths in the first seven seasons, and this is the program's debut season under the direction of first-time head coach Dowell Loggains.
