BOONE, N.C. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recognized five student-athletes on the Appalachian State softball team as All-America Scholar-Athletes after the 2017-18 academic year.
The NFCA recognizes collegiate softball players who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher each year as All-America Scholar-Athletes. Jenny Dodd, Kayla Fredendall, Laura Sales, Haley Stewart and Ally Walters earned the honor for App State this year.
The Mountaineers put forth tremendous effort in the classroom during Shelly Hoerner's first year at App State as head coach.
