BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State’s football program capped a busy week with an eventful Saturday practice that included about 60 scrimmage snaps in Kidd Brewer Stadium.
The Mountaineers continued their spring workouts Monday, Wednesday and Friday before taking the field again for a weekend practice with drill work and several scrimmage segments. The defense enjoyed a strong showing, as the only touchdown came when quarterback Jacob Huesman connected with receiver Zy Letman on a third-and-goal pass from the 3-yard line. Letman made a diving, one-handed catch on a fade route toward the back-right corner of the end zone.
