BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University field hockey will travel to Harrisonburg, Va. for two road tests this weekend. The Mountaineers will play James Madison on Friday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. before a neutral match against Lafayette on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Mountaineers enter this weekend with a 1-1 overall record, which includes a season-opening victory over LaSalle last weekend. Sophomore Ali Williams leads App State offensively with two goals, both of which came in the LaSalle match. The other Mountaineer to score this season is senior Taylor Cimbalist, who also leads the team in shots with five.
