BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State field hockey head coach Meghan Dawson announced the field hockey schedule on Wednesday. The 16-game schedule includes nine home games and seven road tests for the Mountaineers. This will be the last season App will compete as Independent before competing in Mid-American Conference play for the 2017 season.
Appalachian will begin their campaign with two exhibition matches against Liberty on August 15 and Limestone on August 21. The Black and Gold will commence their 2016 slate with two-straight home games versus Ball State (Aug. 26) and Georgetown (Aug. 28).
