Fedders Selected to Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team

BOONE, N.C. –Appalachian State cross country and distance runner Emily Fedders has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team in cross country/track & field.

It marks the second consecutive Google Cloud Academic All-America selection for Fedders and her first First Team honor. She is just the fifth Appalachian State student-athlete to earn First Team honors, joining Gill Beck of football (1977), Jamie Harris of baseball (1984), D.J. Campbell of football (1992) and David Towarnicky of baseball (2010).

Fedders also is the 16th Google Cloud Academic All-America selection in Appalachian State history and just the third student-athlete in school history to earn the honor twice, joining Gill Beck of football (1975 and 1977) and David Towarnicky of baseball (2009 and 2010).
