BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University head baseball coach Kermit Smith announced the addition of Erik Lunde as a volunteer assistant coach on Friday.
“Erik is going to bring a lot of energy to our program," Smith said. "Being a former player, he is going to have the ability to help us better communicate with our players. Coming off the past three seasons in the Pirate organization, he is going to help us prepare each guy for the rigors that they will face in professional baseball. We are very excited about having Erik be a part of our staff.
