BOONE, N.C. — On the heels of leading App State to its first Mid-American Conference championship, field hockey head coach Emily Dinsmore has signed a contract extension that runs through the 2027 season, Director of Athletics Doug Gillin announced Friday. The extension was approved by Chancellor Sheri Everts and the Appalachian State University Board of Trustees.
"We are extremely excited about the trajectory of App State Field Hockey under Emily's direction," Gillin said. "Leading the team to a conference championship and being named MAC Coach of the Year in her first year as a head coach is a tremendous accomplishment.
