BOONE, N.C. -- Coming in together at the same time as freshmen in 2014-15, Appalachian State University women's basketball seniors Madi Story (Maiden, N.C./Bandys) and Katelyn Doub (Asheboro, N.C./Southwestern Randolph) will go into the season together as captains for the 2017-18 season.
The tandem's relentless leadership on and off the court during the offseason didn't go unnoticed by head coach Angel Elderkin, as it's the first time she's named captains in her tenure at App State.
"We are excited to announce Madi (Story) and Katelyn (Doub) have been selected as captains," said Elderkin.
