BOONE, N.C. -- Both App State men's and women's cross country programs were named All-Academic Teams for the 2019 season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
The App State men were one of 191 teams recognized by the USTFCCCA with a team GPA of 3.11. The women's squad was one of 237 teams to earn the honor with a 3.52 GPA.
The men's team won its second Sun Belt title in the past three seasons under head coach Michael Curcio.
