LAFAYETTE, La. - Appalachian State University women's soccer (3-10-3, 2-5-1 SBC) tied a season-high three goals in an exciting 3-2 triumph over Louisiana (5-8-2, 2-4-2 SBC) in double overtime on Sunday afternoon at the Cajun Soccer Complex.
The win snaps a six-match winless streak while it's the second conference win on the road. Appalachian needed a win to stay in thick of the conference tournament race, and collecting two points on Sunday brings App to within one point behind the Ragin' Cajuns and Little Rock.
"I'm so proud of these ladies," head coach Sarah Strickland said following the win.
