BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University softball will take a break from Sun Belt Conference play on Wednesday when it hosts Campbell for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. inside Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium.
The Camels enter their doubleheader tonight against Northern Illinois with a record of 10-9 while the Mountaineers currently sit at 5-19 overall with a 1-2 mark in league action. These two teams met on March 5 as part of the Camel Stampede and App State's offense exploded in the 16-9 victory.
That marked Appalachian's first win over Campbell since 2007 and snapped a two-game skid against the Camels.
