NEW ORLEANS - App State women's soccer freshman Hayley Boyles was named the Sun Belt's Offensive Athlete of the Week award, the league announced on Tuesday.
Boyles is the first freshman in the league to garner the weekly award and the first Mountaineer to be recognized by the conference.
"Offensive player of the week is a tremendous compliment," head coach Sarah Strickland said. "This is a reflection of not only Hayley, but the entire program and their perseverance. I believe
there are more exciting days to come and look forward to opening conference play at home this weekend.
